Ivonne Alonso joined Dr. Felipe J. Martinez’ office in April of 1996. Mrs. Alonso has played various roles in the day to day operations. Initially, as the Front Desk Receptionist, then promoted to Surgical Coordinator and lastly promoted two years ago to Practice Manager. She is responsible for the daily operations of the office, from staffing and scheduling to training staff members. Mrs. Alonso serves as the head of the human resource department and is an integral part of ensuring that all legal obligations are met within the office.
Mrs. Alonso has an Associate degree in Business Administration and an Associate degree in Biological Sciences. She is a member of the Association of Otolaryngology Administrators and the American Academy of Balance Medicine. Throughout her years of working with Dr. Felipe Martinez she has received multiple certifications – she is a Licensed Practical Nurse, certified in Balance Medicine Testing and Therapy, a iVNG Technician, a Licensed Medical Assistant, a Sleep Study Technician, ICD-10-CM/PCS certified and earned a BLS/CPR/AED with the American Heart Association.
Cary Capote- Surgical Coordinator

Cary Capote joined Dr. Felipe J. Martinez’ office in 2001. Ms. Capote began working as the Check-Out Receptionist and was promoted in 2007. As Surgical Coordinator, she serves as the primary staff liaison with all non-cosmetic surgery patients from initial physician recommendation for surgery until surgery is completed. Ms. Capote provides planning and service to patients and Dr. Martinez to facilitate the scheduling and performance of surgical procedures; she provides support paperwork and documentation to patients and maintains awareness of various HMO, PPO and insurance carrier restrictions to assure all necessary criteria are met prior to surgery.
Ms. Capote has Bachelor of Science in Primary Education from Barry University. She is a member of the Association of Otolaryngology Administrators and has received multiple certifications during her time at Dr. Martinez’ office – including HIPPA, ICD-10-CM/PCS and BLS/CPR/AED with the American Heart Association.
